The future World

The future scares me a lot, mainly because of the speed at which nature and the agents that are elemental to life on earth have been destroyed.

It scares me to think that capitalism will not come to an end and end up destroying itself; it scares me that its predatory advance will deepen and end up destroying even the smallest form of life on earth.

In spite of everything, I have confidence in the capacity of human beings and nature to resist adversity and if I had to think of a futuristic world, I imagine a natural scenario as it was originally on this planet.

Where the waters can run free without human intervention, from the mountains to the sea. Where animals can peacefully inhabit their natural environments, without being destroyed by humans. A world where humans have learned to live in harmony with nature, to build in a sustainable way, to think of the city in a more natural way, with less pavement and without buildings.

If this were the scenario, I would love to live there.

I imagine all this in 200 years at the latest, we have little time left to think of such a future. If not this way, I believe that the future that awaits future generations is the complete extinction of this world, for a completely different one, where everything starts all over again.

  1. I also believe that the future should be as green and natural as it was in the origin, I hope humanity becomes real aware, it is urgent

Crochet Knitting

Hello everyone! Today I'd like to tell you about one of my hobbies, which is crochet knitting. The first time I picked up a crochet needle was when I was a little girl, however I didn't start knitting until I was about nineteen years old. I started by knitting small squares guided by youtube tutorials, then scarves, hats and mittens. It was then that I began to understand that there were different types of material to knit: wool for warm clothes, yarn blends with wool for spring garments, and finally I discovered the wonderful cotton yarn. Cotton yarn, besides being useful for many things, is used to make "amigurumis", a type of weaving (I think Japanese) with which you can create figures like animals, dolls and whatever you want! I started knitting everything I could imagine with this technique, and when I had my daughter I decided to create for her a collection of powerful women and native animals, that's what I try to do now, although I really have little time....

My best vacation ever

Maihue Lake I didn't go on vacation  recently due to the fact of the pandemic world moment, but surely everyone is in the same situation. Anyway my best vacation ever was in 2017, when I went to the Chilean south. Anyway, my best vacation ever was in the summer of 2017 when I went to Chilean south. I traveled around various towns of Los Lagos and Araucanía, I got to know some of people and their life stories, it was fantastic and a cool experience.                                                                                                                                       ...

My dream job

Hello everyone! Today I am going to tell you about my dream job. I don't really know what area of geography I would like to work in, however I would like to work outside of Santiago, in the south of Chile, in a rural or urban area.  In a rural place I imagine that I will work in an organization that does field work, maybe risk and socio-environmental vulnerability studies, or working with communities helping to address water scarcity, or in indigenous territories contributing in their struggle for recognition and respect and care for nature.  In an urban area I would like to work with informal territories, working to end housing inequality, for social and environmental justice.  I would like to always be able to work in the field and hopefully never in an office, to travel a lot doing studies of geomorphology and biogeography always with the objective of contributing to the community. As for the salary, I would really like to earn enough to live peacefully, more for...
