A trip to the past

My dream is to travel to Greece, basically because I love it’s history. Before I studied Geography, I was studying Letters and Spanish Literature, there I learned a lot about the history of ancient Greek and I fell in love with it. 



About Greece, I know that all development of the arts comes from the Greeks, I can also mention politics, sports, philosophy and architecture. Greece's territory frontier includes a peninsula and islands around it, geomorphologically it is hilly and it has the longest coastline in the world.



If I go to Greece I’d like to visit Atenas and take pictures of Parthenon, I’d also like to visit Roda’s island and it’s museums, and finally I’d like to go trekking by the Olimpo mountain.


I’d like to go to Greece for vacations for the first time, but if I could I’d like to go to work for a long time and in that way I’d meet every wonderful place of the ancient territory.

    Hi Javiera! It sounds fascinating to know Greece, especially the Parthenon; for me it is a country that everyone has to visit at some point in their lives

    Hi Javi, Greece sounds great as a trip, I know about the ancient greek history n legends, and I'm not surprise that someone choiced it to make their post, Greece it's so good.

Crochet Knitting

Hello everyone! Today I'd like to tell you about one of my hobbies, which is crochet knitting. The first time I picked up a crochet needle was when I was a little girl, however I didn't start knitting until I was about nineteen years old. I started by knitting small squares guided by youtube tutorials, then scarves, hats and mittens. It was then that I began to understand that there were different types of material to knit: wool for warm clothes, yarn blends with wool for spring garments, and finally I discovered the wonderful cotton yarn. Cotton yarn, besides being useful for many things, is used to make "amigurumis", a type of weaving (I think Japanese) with which you can create figures like animals, dolls and whatever you want! I started knitting everything I could imagine with this technique, and when I had my daughter I decided to create for her a collection of powerful women and native animals, that's what I try to do now, although I really have little time....

My best vacation ever

Maihue Lake I didn't go on vacation  recently due to the fact of the pandemic world moment, but surely everyone is in the same situation. Anyway my best vacation ever was in 2017, when I went to the Chilean south. Anyway, my best vacation ever was in the summer of 2017 when I went to Chilean south. My dream job

 Hello everyone! Today I am going to tell you about my dream job. I don't really know what area of geography I would like to work in, however I would like to work outside of Santiago, in the south of Chile, in a rural or urban area.  In a rural place I imagine that I will work in an organization that does field work, maybe risk and socio-environmental vulnerability studies, or working with communities helping to address water scarcity, or in indigenous territories contributing in their struggle for recognition and respect and care for nature.  In an urban area I would like to work with informal territories, working to end housing inequality, for social and environmental justice.  I would like to always be able to work in the field and hopefully never in an office, to travel a lot doing studies of geomorphology and biogeography always with the objective of contributing to the community. As for the salary, I would really like to earn enough to live peacefully, more for...
